Suzuki has been manufacturing motorcycles for a very long time now. One of the things they boast is the GSXR series. It is a top of the line sports bikes that is one of the biggest breakthroughs of Suzuki.
At the time of its release, the model was considered as the lightest and highest performing sports bike to have been made. Physically, it may have looked like one of the previous GSXR series, but its interior has been drastically changed. It is common knowledge that Yamaha and Suzuki have been competing for years, and the arrival of the Suzuki GSXR 1000 proved who was superior at producing the motorcycles.
GSXR 1000 came out last 2001 in order to replace the 1100 model. It was built based on a “modern style” designed to be lighter for racing purposes. GSXR 1100 was considered the most powerful and largest model of the series, but with better features. The engine’s cylinder displacement was revealed to be 100 cc smaller than the previous model (1,000 cc or 61 cu in). It is closely likened to its little brother, the GSXR 750, but besides being an engorged version of it, it shares many features such as the engine (which was only redesigned). The main frame might look the same, but the 1000 is actually .5 mm thicker than the 750. The rigidity was also claimed to have increased for about 10%. It packs tremendous power yet it is extremely easy to use. It also has higher suspension components.
For 2012’s GSXR 1000, the best keeps getting better. Suzuki’s engineers have done their best to redesign the whole thing. This incredible sports bike is better than ever. The engine has quicker acceleration, more sensitive throttle and better fuel efficiency. The braking systems and chassis are just some of the things that were much improved and made the total weight of the motorcycle lessen up to four pounds. This is extremely beneficial for those who prefer their bike to be lighter and more controllable.
The 2012 improvements are pretty visible to everyone. It’s sleeker and there is an evident increase in power. There’s also a wider variety of colors and styling elements that would suit your taste and preferences. Since its launching in 2001, it has finally surpassed the other models. It is mostly due to the fact that it is lighter and more powerful.
Mix it all together and you get a top of the line sports bike that would guarantee to make your friends jealous. Suzuki truly wants us to see through this model, the equally powerful next generations of motorcycle that they would produce in the future. Suzuki continues to give us the best that it can offer and the end products truly are spectacular.
